BREAKING: Woman Injured At Sapporo Snow Festival By Crumbling Statue

At 4:15PM on February 7th, a small snow sculpture collapsed at the “Sapporo Snow Festival” and hit the back of a woman in her 60s, injuring her slightly. An ambulance was called.

According to festival coordinators, a 3-meter-tall sculpture of the character “Hatsune Miku” collapsed from the head. The Hokkaido police are examining what caused the head to become unstable.

The Sapporo Snow Festival opened on February 6. On the afternoon of the 7th, the temperature in the city rose 2.2 degrees to 0.5 degrees Celcius.
